I met Erin back in college. We lived across the hall from each other. One thing I always remember about Erin is that she was passionate about her degree; education. While the rest of us bought heavy (and boring) textbooks, Erin’s supplies each year consisted of markers and poster board. She loves her job. She is a woman who works tirelessly with others in mind. And she invited her first graders to her wedding and danced with them all night.
Then I met Ike. Right off the bat, Ike told me he didn’t like pictures. But he loves Erin. I’ve started shooting “sunset” photos for my couples during their wedding if their portrait session lighting is less than ideal. So when I approached them during their reception and asked if they still wanted to go out for sunset photos, without hesitation Ike looked at Erin and said, “Let’s do it”. (I did compromise and let them eat baked potatoes while I snapped a few more).
Knowing Ike’s disdain for photos and seeing him selflessly love Erin in that moment made me realize just how perfect they are for each other. I’m so incredibly happy to know Erin’s found a man who will work tirelessly for her like she has.
Here’s an extended sneak of their beautiful day! Thanks immensely to my second photographer Traci Michelle Photography, Moore Farms Rustic Weddings, The Bridal Garden by Lindi Collins, DJ Connection and Top Tier Cakes for making this celebration perfectly Erin and Ike.
