Haley and Zach | Magnolia Adam’s Photography

I remember driving with Haley and Zach to their rehearsal dinner, all their friends gathered to celebrate the week with them.  I asked them questions like how they met and when they KNEW… typically I ask all these questions early on in discussions with a bride and groom before agreeing to shoot their wedding, but since I knew the bride’s mom, a fellow photographer, these questions were bypassed.

Haley gave me shotgun, and I looked out the window to these beautiful, pastel blue mountains and thought about my marriage.  I told them the one thing I wished I’d done different was jump into counseling well before we needed it.  I shared with them that boundaries were a GOOD thing and that marriage was an adventure to be enjoyed.

Destination weddings will always be some of my favorite weddings.  I got to spend quality time with their families, piecing together floral bouquets and centerpieces, and staying up late chatting with the other vendors in our VRBO… Haley and Zach got their marriage started out surrounded by people who LOVE them well, and I’m sure they will never forget that.
