I still say that one of the most rewarding and enriching times in my life was when I taught high school. Since I taught history, a coaching position was expected and since waterpolo is as foreign to Oklahoman’s as learning Chinese, I was assigned Volleyball. Brittyn was on the very first team I coached.
Fast forward a few years and now Brittyn is dating the most perfect guy and is following her passions and our paths crossed again. I was snapping some headshots for her when she casually mentioned she’d love for me to shoot her wedding someday. It’s always such a compliment to hear that.
So when Jack contacted me a few months back, I was ecstatic! I was hiding out in the park while Jack proposed and then jumped out to take a few OH-MY-GOSH-WE-JUST-GOT-ENGAGED photos. I made up some line about getting home to my babies, drove over to Hall’s Pizza where Jack had assembled their closest friends and family.
The emotions in these photos just get to me. They aren’t fake or forced. They’re so genuine and by far some of my most favorite photos I’ve ever taken. So excited to get to head to San Francisco in a few months for their engagements and capture their wedding next year!
