So thankful to have been able to spend some time away before our big girl started Kindergarten and before we jump into stricter routine. Being from California, we didn’t have a hard choice in where to visit. We spent time with friends and family at the most perfect VRBO beach house in Corona Del Mar. We went to Disneyland (not pictured) and spent time at the beach and spent a day road tripping up to Malibu.
While we were there, my eyes would catch a half naked jogger and think to myself, “What is he doing to be able to afford to live out here?” Or our waitress at dinner, “Excuse me, is this your only job?” Ok, I didn’t actually ask those people that, but I was so curious. Kevin and I talked very seriously about California living the entire week and the conclusion we reached is this… While California is a dream location, we have a wonderful life here in Oklahoma. Sure we don’t have beaches, or awesome weather year round, BUT we like our lives here. We’re always open to what God has for us and wish that were California but we’re thankful for all we have here.
We can’t wait to go back!
